30 Floors Up Roblox health, sleep and fatigue
Your five meters
- HungerEat a portion
- ThirstDrink stored water; drains fastest
- FatigueSleep at home, at night
- StaminaStop running and swinging
- HealthBandages only; no regeneration seen
Short answer: you have four bars (hunger, thirst, fatigue, stamina) plus health. Health does not refill on its own, and bandages are the only healing players have shown, so avoid every hit you can. Sleep at home with the door locked, eat before bed, and be inside before dark: after the power cut the nights are pitch black.
What do the bars mean?
| Bar | Drops when | Refill with |
|---|---|---|
| Hunger | Time passes | Eating a portion (food) |
| Thirst | Time passes, faster than hunger | Drinking stored water (water) |
| Fatigue | You stay awake; it rises through the day | Sleeping in your chosen sleeping place |
| Stamina | Running and every weapon swing | Stopping for a moment |
| Health (number) | Zombie hits, smoke, starving or dehydration | Bandages |
Players have been hit down to 24 and 58 health and kept going, so a few mistakes are survivable; the trouble is that they add up.
How do you heal?
With bandages: players dressed their wounds after fights. Bandages turned up early in some runs (in other apartments and in a box near the start), while one player searched from day 14 to day 24 without finding a single one. One guide says health never regenerates by itself, and no recording shows it coming back without a bandage.
Two neighbors also want bandages, Arthur Hail among them (Arthur Hail), so decide early whether a bandage is for you or for a quest.
Things that cost health besides zombies: walking into the smoke on floor 16 (your character coughs and loses health) and running out of food or water.
Why are you always tired?
Fatigue climbs during the day and the game wants you asleep at night. Players saw it rise even right after sleeping, because they had slept through the day and the clock was already late. Plan trips for the daytime and head back before evening.
One guide warns that if you are still in the hallways late at night (after about 8 pm in game) your screen blurs and controls get sluggish, and that collapsing outside makes your character snore loudly enough to draw zombies. That is one player’s report, but staying out after dark is a bad idea for another reason anyway: after the power cut, the halls are pitch black without a flashlight or lantern.
Where should you sleep?
Your apartment, door locked and chained (barricades). On the first night the game asks you to choose a sleeping place; one guide notes the choice affects what happens, but nobody has compared the options side by side yet. If you let Daniel in, he says he will keep an ear on the door while you sleep.
What cost players the most health?
From the long recordings, in rough order of how often it happened:
- Fighting in the doorway during a break-in, with no room to step back.
- Missed swings at point-blank range, which empty the stamina bar and leave you open.
- Groups in corridors: one player dropped to 24 health clearing three zombies in a hallway.
- Smoke on floor 16: you cough and lose health while you stay in it.
- Hunger and thirst left at zero.
Each of these is avoidable, which matters more because health does not come back on its own.
A day that keeps you healthy
- Morning: drink, eat a portion, check the survival guide’s day count.
- Daytime: supply runs, vent and shaft trips, neighbor quests, with a light source and the tools you need.
- Late afternoon: head home. Check whether the game has warned that the crowd is coming.
- Evening: lock, chain, barricade if needed, eat, sleep.
