30 Floors Up Roblox Eli: taking him home
Short answer: Eli is a boy alone on floor 29: he woke up and everyone, and their bags, was gone. Clear the zombies on his floor, then walk him back to his apartment one floor up. Once home he tells you the key is in his pillowcase; it opens his parents’ room, where players found a hiking pack, a flashlight, a folded blanket and food.
Where is Eli?
Behind one of the doors on floor 29, which is boarded up in places and full of zombies. When you open his door he asks if you are “one of them”, then tells you he woke up and everybody was gone, bags and all, so he came down. He wants to go home.
How do you take Eli home?
- Clear floor 29. He tells you the ones on this floor stay close to him. Use the hit-and-step-back rhythm on each one.
- Talk to him again once it is quiet; he asks you to take him back.
- Walk him up one floor to his apartment. He follows behind you; zombies go for you, not him, but more can appear on the way, so keep moving.
- Talk to him at home. He says it still smells like home and that you can rest there.
What do you get?
He hands you the key from his pillowcase (“Dad’s big bag is in there”). It unlocks his parents’ room. In the one recording that finished this quest, the room held:
| Item | Use |
|---|---|
| Hiking pack | More inventory slots; listed with six in that run (backpacks) |
| Flashlight | Spare light |
| Folded blanket | Not shown being used |
| Food | Add it to your pantry |
Players had earlier seen a child’s bedroom with a drawing of a tall building and a house-rules note, and a parents’ room that was locked; that matches Eli’s home.
What happens to Eli after?
He stays in his apartment. No recording shows a later quest from him yet.
Is the escort dangerous?
Less than it looks. In the recording, zombies ignored Eli and went for the player, and he kept close behind on the stairs. The danger is the usual one: more zombies appearing on the floor you just cleared, and a narrow stairwell with no room to step back. Clear the landing before you lead him onto it, and do not stop to loot on the way.
Why bother?
The hiking pack is one of the few inventory upgrades in the game, and the parents’ room also gives you a spare flashlight and food. It is also the quest with the clearest reward among those recorded so far: Arthur Hail’s pays in information, Dev Patel’s had not been finished.
What do the notes in Eli’s home say?
Before meeting Eli, one player dropped through a vent into a flat with a child’s bedroom. The notes there read like a family that left in a hurry: a child’s drawing described as “a tall building”, a page of house rules for emergencies, and a packing list on the kitchen counter. The parents’ room was locked. Eli later tells you everyone took their bags, and his key opens that room. Read the notes you find: they are how the game tells the story of the tower.
